These are the brothers who have passed before us. Not forgotten, forever remembered.
We mourn the loss of our Brother Robert W. Jordan, Jr. who passed away on January 4th, 2023. Rob was in the Theta "THETA INEBRIATAS" pledge class of the fall of 1993. He was a great brother who was always respectful and caring.
We mourn the loss of our Brother Douglas Carl Mathews who passed away on December 8th, 2022. Doug was in the Kappa pledge class of the fall of 1994. He lived our Creed and helped many of his students at Stone Mountain High School understand that "Freedom implies the Elimination of Prejudice" and that everyone is "endowed the Opportunities and Privileges of Freedom."
We mourn the loss of a very important person in our Pi Lambda Phi history at Appalachian State University (NC Omega Tau). Jody Blevins, was not only a Pi Lambda Phi Brother but he was the brother who brought Pi Lambda Phi to Appalachian State University from Western Carolina University (NC Omega Zeta) in the late 80's. He is one of our founding fathers at NC Omega Tau. Jody passed away on November 30th, 2019 at the age of 51.
It is a sad day today as we find out that one of our brothers, Eric Marsh, lost his life. He was the superintendent of the Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew (IHC). They were fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire, about 35 miles southwest of Prescott Arizona when they were overtaken by the fire. Eric was one of the founding fathers at the Appalachian State University - NC Omega Tau chapter. You will be forever missed!
